1. Who we are

Deadliner ("we", "us") is a deadline-tracking service. These Terms of Service ("Terms") form an agreement between you and Deadliner covering your access to and use of the app. You can reach us at info@deadliner.space with any question.

2. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account, or by otherwise accessing or using Deadliner, you confirm that you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the service.

3. Eligibility

Deadliner is intended for students aged 16 and over. By using the service, you confirm that you meet this age requirement and that any information you provide is accurate.

4. Your account

• You're responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity that happens under your account.
• You must provide accurate information when creating your account and keep it up to date.
• Let us know immediately at info@deadliner.space if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Deadliner for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service, other accounts, or our systems.
• Interfere with or disrupt the service, or introduce malicious code.
• Copy, resell, or exploit any part of the service without our permission.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.

6. Subscriptions, free trials & billing

Deadliner offers a free tier and a paid Premium subscription, billed on a recurring basis through our payment processor, Stripe. Where offered, a free trial gives you access to Premium features for a limited period; unless you cancel before it ends, the trial converts into a paid subscription and your payment method will be charged. You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings, effective at the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.

7. Your content

You retain ownership of the deadlines, notes, and other content you add to Deadliner ("your content"). You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content solely to provide and improve the service. You're responsible for making sure your content doesn't violate any law or third party's rights.

8. Sharing & groups

If you share a deadline or join a group with other users, the content you share becomes visible to them. We're not responsible for how other users handle content you choose to share with them.

9. Service availability

We aim to keep Deadliner available and reliable, but we don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features of the service at any time, and we'll try to give reasonable notice of any change that materially affects you.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

Deadliner is a tool to help you track deadlines — it's provided "as is" and we don't guarantee it will catch every deadline or reminder without error. You remain responsible for meeting your own academic and personal deadlines. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, regarding the service.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Deadliner and its founders won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including missed deadlines, lost data, or lost opportunities — arising from your use of the service.

12. Termination

You may stop using Deadliner and delete your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or misuse the service. Upon termination, your right to use the service ends, though certain provisions of these Terms will continue to apply.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you by email or with a notice in the app. The "last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Continuing to use Deadliner after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
